The Board has voted to re-elect Directors Margo Wagner (Area “H”) and Melynda Neufeld (Area “E”) to the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair, respectively. Invasive Species Council presents its hit list for invasive species

Gail Wallin of the Invasive Species Council of BC presented to the Board about the invasive species management priorities for the Cariboo Chilcotin, along with their own community education and outreach activities in the region. Species of high concern included:

• Blueweed
• Burdock
• Spotted Knapweed
• Orange Hawkweed

Boil Water Advisory - Lac La Hache Water System

The Cariboo Regional District has issued a Boil Water Notice to the Lac La Hache Water System users pursuant to a request of a Drinking Water Officer under Section 14 of the Drinking Water Protection Act. This Notice remains in effect until further notice.

The Cariboo Regional District's water systems are tested regularly to ensure they meet public health regulations. This boil water notice is being issued due to a pump failure.
