Williams Lake, BC – The bang of the gavel marked the end of the year for the Cariboo Regional District’s board of directors as they closed out their final meeting of 2023. While there remains some work to be wrapped up at the committee level, the group of sixteen directors will not be meeting as a group until January 11, 2024.

UBCM Fire Department grant application
The Cariboo Regional District has applied for funding on behalf of its fourteen volunteer fire departments to purchase new equipment and training. Applications for up to $30,000 for each fire department will be submitted to the Union of BC Municipalities to purchase turnout gear, handheld tools, self contained breathing apparatus, and other equipment necessary for fire protection services.
