Community Works Funding policy to be debated at future board meeting
During its Committee of the Whole meeting, the Board provided tentative approval of a set of policy proposals on how Community Works Funding (CWF) would be used in the future. The new policy will see most CWF funds directed towards projects that reinvest existing in infrastructure and services. Join us on June 19 and 20, 2025 for our semi-annual Board on the Road meeting hosted in 108 Mile Ranch at the Northern Secwepemc Cultural Centre. CRD Commits $1 Million to Improve Access to Esler Sports Complex
The Board approved a $1 million contribution from Community Works Funds for the Esler Sports Complex Access Road project. This new road will provide safer access directly from Highway 20, easing traffic congestion and safety concerns on Hodgson Road during the spring and summer months. 150 Mile House Courthouse to be removed from CRD’s Heritage site registry
On the recommendation of the Heritage Steering Committee, the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) Board has voted to remove the 150 Mile Courthouse from its heritage site registry, clearing the way for demolition of the deteriorated structure. The building will also be removed from the BC Register of Historic Places.
