Laurie Walters, PASS Program Coordinator and Larry Stranberg, Community Futures Projects Manager with Community Futures Cariboo Chilcotin presented information on the PASS (planning a successful succession) program designed to prepare local business owners to sell their business. It was also noted that rural communities have additional challenges due to lack of population growth and that it can take up to 18 months to sell.

Interior Health Capital Funding Request Approved
Interior Health’s capital funding request for 2022/2023 in the amount of $1,113,020 was approved. The necessary capital expenditure bylaws were brought forward and adopted.

The Cariboo Regional District’s 2022 budget has been drafted and the Board is looking for public input before the final version is adopted. An easy-to-understand summary of the budget has been developed and residents are encouraged to review the summary and provide their feedback.
