The Cariboo Regional District owns and operates three airports throughout the region:
The Cariboo Regional District also provides funding support to the City of Quesnel toward operations of the Quesnel Regional Airport.
The Williams Lake Airport is owned and operated by the City of Williams Lake.
CRD Board-appointed airport commissions oversee the South Cariboo and Anahim Lake airports. Commissioners are chosen from eligible taxpayers and elected officials from the region. The Likely airstrip does not have an airport commission.
The annual operating budget comes from taxes collected from our local service areas. If larger projects or improvements are required, the CRD applies for funding from senior levels of government to cover costs that can't be generated through the local tax base.
