The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) provides house numbering for all properties within the district but outside of municipal boundaries.
Can emergency crews find your house easily? In the event of an emergency, every second counts. A house number can make the difference in a life-threatening situation.
| What information will I need to provide to apply for my house number? |

When requesting a house number, be prepared to provide the legal description or property identification number (PID). The proper legal description or PID can be found on the property deed, tax assessment notice or CRD Map. To assign a new number on large acreages, owners may also be required to provide a drawing showing the location of the house relative to the property boundaries. |
| What do I need to provide if I am a new owner of the property? |
| New property owners must be prepared to provide proof of ownership. The Land Title Certificate is the only legal document that will be accepted as proof of ownership. |
| How long does it take to get my house number, once I apply? |
| It will take a minimum of 20 business days to receive your letter. If you have not received your letter via email, please check your email programs spam/junk folder prior to calling. |

| How long does it take for everyone to update my information? |
| The Cariboo Regional District does not have any control over how long it takes for outside agencies to up date their information. |

Purchase an Address Sign
The Cariboo Regional District has a standardized house numbering sign program with local sign companies. The program is available to all Cariboo-Chilcotin residents.
The design resembles a 5” X 12” license plate. The sign is made with reflective materials and can be purchased through the following companies. Please call for current pricing:
