- Other applicable standards
The BC Local Government Act authorizes Regional Districts to regulate in accordance with BC Building code and CRD Building Bylaw No. 4997:
- Construction
- Alteration
- Repair
- Demolition
A permit is required for:
- Construction
- Alteration
- Repair
- Demolition of a building or structure
- Building relocations
- Masonry fireplaces
- Solid fuel burning appliances
- Chimneys
- Plumbing systems

Building inspections are done at different stages of construction in accordance with the BC Building Code and building plans submitted. |
Am I in a building inspection area? |

In the Cariboo Regional District there are three local service areas which benefit from the building inspection function, namely the Central Cariboo (portions of Area D, Area E and Area F), the North Cariboo (a perimeter area surrounding the City of Quesnel), and the South Cariboo (Electoral Areas G, H and L in the entirety). |
