The water conservation notice has been lifted for the Alexis Creek Water System. Reminder, water sprinkling restrictions are in effect for all CRD Water Systems from May 1st to October 1st. Water is only allowed between 5-11am and 5pm-11pm. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

The Cariboo Regional District is issuing a Water Conservation Notice for users of the Alexis Creek Water Systems. Due to mechanical issues in the production well supplying the system, water availability is severely constrained and at risk. Reservoir levels are currently reduced to less than 20% of capacity.
In order to preserve water supplies, residents are urgently asked to reduce their water consumption as much as possible. Watering lawns, washing vehicles, and non-essential uses of water must be avoided to preserve the remaining water supply.
At this time, no information is available regarding the length of this disruption. Cariboo Regional District staff will continue monitoring the situation over the long weekend. Arrangements are being made to haul potable water if necessary to replenish water supplies.
