Cariboo Chilcotin Regional Hospital District Contributes to Replacement of New Equipment at GR Baker Memorial
The CCRHD Board adopted Bylaw. 200 which approves $400,000 in funding to Northern Health towards the GR Baker Memorial Hospital X-Ray replacement. Bylaw No. 199 was also adopted at today’s meeting and $476,400 will be contributed to Northern Health towards the replacement of the Lab Chemistry Analyzers at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. These funds represent 40 per cent of the total cost to replace this equipment.
CRD Board Received a Visit from MLA Lorne Doerkson
MLA Lorne Doerkson attended the Cariboo Regional District Board meeting to provide updates in his riding. He spoke to some of the main calls his offices are fielding from residents throughout the riding with the main topics of current concern being: health, roads, crime, and forestry.
CRD to Support Williams Lake First Nation’s First Annual Speaking our Truth Pow Wow
The CRD Board approved $5,500 in funds towards a platinum sponsorship of the First Annual Speaking our Truth Pow Wow that will be hosted by the Williams Lake First Nation this fall. These funds will be allocated from the Support Local Indigenous Communities envelope of the Covid Safe Restart funds. The Speaking our Truth Pow Wow will be hosted at Chief William Arbour September 9th-11th, 2022.
Area A COVID-19 Smart Restart Funds Allocated for Training Equipment at Red Bluff Firehall
A funding request from Electoral Area A Director Sjostrom was approved to allocate $838 Electoral A COVID-19 Smart Restart Funds to the City of Quesnel towards the purchase of training equipment for use in the Red Bluff Firehall.
