Horse Lake Water Conservation Notice

The Cariboo Regional District is issuing a Water Conservation Notice for users of the Horse Lake Water Systems. Due to mechanical issues in the production well supplying the system, water availability is severely constrained and at risk. Reservoir levels are currently reduced to less than 20% of capacity.

In order to preserve water supplies, residents are urgently asked to reduce their water consumption as much as possible. Watering lawns, washing vehicles, and non-essential uses of water must be avoided to preserve the remaining water supply.

At this time, no information is available regarding the length of this disruption. Cariboo Regional District staff will continue monitoring the situation over the weekend. Further updates will be supplied as they become available.
