The Cariboo Regional District Board has appointed Shannon Wagner as the new fire chief for the Forest Grove volunteer fire department. Chief Wagner was elected by the fire department membership and the Board has appointed her for a three-year term.
The public hearing is on Thursday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. in the CRD Williams Lake boardroom.

Yesterday, a new wheelchair accessible trail opened at Bull Canyon Provincial Park, six kilometres west of Alexis Creek, on Highway 20. This is the latest accessible trail to open in the Cariboo Regional District’s network, which aims to increase outdoor wilderness recreation opportunities for people of all mobility levels.
