CRD-EOC-15-04-Puntzi Lake

Puntzi Lake, B.C. – As a result of the aggressive fire activity, the Evacuation Order and the Evacuation Alert areas of the Puntzi Lake Fire have been expanded.

The new Evacuation Order and Alert areas are outlined on the attached map. There are approximately 90 properties within the new Evacuation Order area and 183 properties in the Evacuation Alert area. In addition to these numbers, approximately 300 Tsi Del Del First Nation residents have been impacted by the Puntzi Lake Fire. 

The Cariboo Regional District is working in close collaboration with Chief Percy Guichon and the Tsi Del Del First Nation to ensure that all residents are provided with the services they require during this time. 

The Puntzi Lake fire grew to 2,255 hectares.  

An Emergency Social Services Reception Centre has been established at the Cariboo Regional District offices in Williams Lake at 180 D North Third Avenue. The CRD’s EOC Public Information line is 250-398-5117. 

Residents are reminded to register for the Cariboo Chilcotin Emergency Notification System by visiting the Cariboo Regional District at cariboord.ca.
