Williams Lake, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District Library announced that local author Jeanie Vant will be visiting the Williams Lake Branch Library on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 10:30 a.m. As part of the library’s regular story time program, Vant will be reading her latest children’s picture book, Adventure in the Forest, and will talk about her inspiration and writing process.
Vant is a retired teacher and lives in the interior of British Columbia. She finds inspiration from the wilderness and the interactions of the proud animals who call this magical place home. Adventure in the Forest was published in July 2017.
Vant has written poetry since she was a young girl and previously published two children’s books – The Squirrel Family in 2006 and The Witch’s Cat in 2010. The latter is a novel that won the NABE 2012 Pinnacle Book Achievement Award. The book was chosen best book in the category of Pets and Animals.
Vant will have copies of her latest book available to purchase and for signing upon request.
