Labour Market Study Interviews – Cariboo Region
Contractual Employment Opportunity (3 positions available)
The Cariboo Regional District, in partnership with its four incorporated member municipalities of Quesnel, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House and Wells, and member communities of Northern Secwepemc, Tŝilhqot’in and Southern Carrier/Dakelh First Nations, has entered into a Labour Market Partnership to conduct a Regional Labour Market Study.
Local representatives from across the region will be contracted for a period of approximately 3 months to conduct a series of business visits within the Cariboo Regional District; supervision and management of this initiative is with MDB Insight, the consulting firm under contract with the CRD for the delivery of the Labour Market Study project.
• Contacting the businesses to set up interview appointment times
• Conducting in-person interviews at the earliest convenient time
• Recording interviewee responses utilizing a tablet (with access to the on-line survey) or via pen/paper; note survey questions and tablet and/or paper copies will be provided to you)
• Participating in project update calls (approx. 30 minutes weekly)
Applicant Qualifications and Competencies:
This position requires strong communication skills (verbal and written), the ability to absorb information and capture it accurately; computer skills (typing, working in MS Word, using the Internet); good time management skills; ability to plan and schedule (book appointments in a schedule that maximizes your time and travel); experience engaging with the business community is an asset.
The successful candidates will be provided training and on-going support to ensure successful outcomes.

Remuneration: $25/hour plus mileage ($.55 per km)
Weekly time commitment: May range from 20 to 30 hours per week, depending on your availability; Business interviews will be conducted over a 3-4 month period, beginning early June, 2019.
