Career Opportunity - Chief Building Official

If you possess a level III BOABC or have equivalencies, this is your opportunity to lead a solid team, to mentor, provide leadership, guidance and oversight to building inspection staff while ensuring exceptional customer service.

DUTIES: Reporting directly to the Manager of Development Services, the Chief Building Official is accountable for the overall management of the building permit process including issuance and inspection of building permits and ensuring compliance with Building Code while maintaining levels of service and ensuring that legislative standards are upheld in a safe and economic manner. SALARY: This is a full-time, exempt position, offering an excellent salary, benefits and relocation package commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.

WORK SITE LOCATION: The successful candidate will operate out of the Cariboo Regional Districts 100 Mile House Office. The position requires some travel throughout the CRD for meetings and training. Applicants must have a valid class 5 driver’s license.

HOURS OF WORK: The regular hours of work for this position are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
