This option is suited to landowners with invasive plant infestations requiring more herbicide than is available through the Herbicide Dispensing option to provide adequate control.

50% of the cost of herbicide purchases will be reimbursed to landowners up to a maximum amount of $500.00. Herbicide must be used to treat invasive plants in the CCCIPC Regional Strategic Plan, BC Weed Control Act, or CRD's Invasive Plant Regulations Bylaw No. 4949.

Interested landowners need to apply and receive approval before receiving the rebate. This option is on a first come, first serve basis; applications can be submitted for approval at the beginning of each calendar year for the year the herbicide is to be purchased.

This option is suited to landowners with invasive plant infestations that are beyond their capacity to treat or for those who would rather have a professional conduct the treatment.

50% of the cost of treatments by a qualified, CRD approved invasive plant management contractor will be reimbursed to landowners up to a maximum amount of $2,500.00. Treatments must be conducted on invasive plants listed in the CCCIPC Regional Strategic Plan, BC Weed Control Act, or CRD's Invasive Plant Regulations Bylaw No. 4949.

Interested landowners need to apply and receive approval before receiving the rebate. This option is on a first come, first serve basis; applications can be submitted for approval at the beginning of each calendar year for the year the treatment is to be conducted.

Some invasive plant species have natural organisms that can be used to reduce their populations. These organisms are usually natural enemies of the invasive plants in their native environments. This option is dependent upon availability of biocontrol agents and site suitability.

Landowners are welcome to borrow CRD Invasive Plant Management Program spray equipment from May to October.

Truck sprayers, ATV sprayers, and backpack sprayers are available for loan on a first come, first serve basis for 7 days at a time.

Participating landowners will receive a demonstration amount of herbicide to treat invasive plants listed within the CCCIPC Regional Strategic Plan, BC Weed Control Act, or CRD's Invasive Plant Regulations Bylaw No. 4949.

Herbicide product and demonstration amount dispensed will be dependent on invasive plant species and site conditions but will not exceed 2L.

Landowners will be required to attend a dispensing workshop to receive herbicide unless they hold a valid Pesticide Applicator Certificate.

Landowners can get heavy duty bags for the disposal of invasive plant material at all CRD office locations.

Bagged invasive plant material may be disposed of in refuse bins at all transfer stations within the Cariboo Regional District.

Landowners needing help identifying invasive plant species presence and management recommendations for their property are encouraged to request an assessment by Invasive Plant Management staff.

An assessment can especially assist landowners to decide which program is right for them.

Landowners will receive one free treatment on their property for up to 10 acres or a maximum of one full workday.

Treatment is applicable only on invasive plant species listed within the CCCIPC Regional Strategic Plan, BC Weed Control Act, or CRD's Invasive Plant Regulations Bylaw No. 4949.

This service is on a first come, first serve basis. Treatments will be scheduled between the months of May to October where possible.
