When requesting a house number, be prepared to provide the legal description or property identification number (PID). The proper legal description or PID can be found on the property deed, tax assessment notice or CRD Map.

To assign a new number on large acreages, owners may also be required to provide a drawing showing the location of the house relative to the property boundaries.

New property owners must be prepared to provide proof of ownership.  The Land Title Certificate is the only legal document that will be accepted as proof of ownership.

It will take a minimum of 20 business days to receive your letter. If you have not received your letter via email, please check your email programs spam/junk folder prior to calling.

An email verification of the new address is sent to the following:

• FortisBC
• Shaw
• Telus

The Cariboo Regional District does not have any control over how long it takes for outside agencies to up date their information.
