Employment opportunities are available online at Current Employment Opportunities.

Available positions are also posted on Facebook and Twitter.

To help assist the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) in reducing paper consumption, the CRD requests you submit your application, cover letter, and resume through our online employment application process.

We recommend you only apply for posted competitions. See Current Employment Opportunities for more information. We do not refer back to general resumes for new postings.

A general resume is a resume that can be used to apply for any position or a position that is not currently posted.

Yes, applications without a cover letter listing detailed information regarding relevant qualifications and experience will be deemed incomplete and will not be considered.

Yes, you may contact Human Resources if you have any questions about a specific competition posted on Current Employment Opportunities.

The term “open until filled” appears on competitions that don't have a closing date. It means the position will remain open and we will continue to accept applications until we select a candidate(s).

If you want to apply for an “open until filled” competition, we only need you to submit your application once in order to be considered.

All of our competitions close at the time and date specified in the job posting. In order to be considered, your application/resume must be received by Human Resources no later than the time posted on the closing date.

The hiring process time frame is based on applications received and closing dates. Thank you in advance for your patience!

We thank all applicants for their interest. Only those selected for an interview or test will be contacted. We try to contact short-listed applicants for interviews within 3 weeks of the competition closing date.

We show the status for each competition on Current Employment Opportunities.

We do accept applications after the competition has closed; however, your application will be marked late and will not be considered until all other applicants have been reviewed first.

As vacancies arise, job opportunities will be posted.

We process a high volume of applications every day, so we cannot provide feedback to those who are not interviewed.

You will be informed, in advance, of any testing that we might ask you to participate in. For specific positions, we may do skill and/or job-related testing and/or pre-employment testing.

Job classifications requiring the employee to drive a vehicle will be indicated in the job posting with the following: 'must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

You will be required to provide a driver's abstract from your home province. At a future date, you will be required to convert your current out-of-province driver's license to the equivalent B.C. driver's license class.
