Municipal Directors are appointed by their respective municipal councils; to be appointed, the Director must be an elected member of each Council. Each municipality within the Cariboo Regional District is able to appoint one member of Council to represent their interests on the Board of Directors. 

Currently, there are Municipal Directors for the following member municipalities:

• District of 100 Mile House
• City of Quesnel
• City of Williams Lake
• Village of Wells
