103 Mile Water System Users Asked to Check for Water Leaks
Stage 3 Water Restrictions Remain in Effect – 103 Mile Water System
Stage 3 Water Restrictions remain in effect for customers connected to the 103 Mile Water System while staff continue investigating the cause of the unusually high water use.
At this time, staff have not identified any visible leaks within the water distribution system. We are asking all water users to help by checking their own property for possible water service line leaks or breaks.
Please inspect:
-
Your yard for unusually wet or saturated areas.
-
Your basement or crawl space for signs of water.
-
Any visible plumbing or water service lines for leaks.
-
Outdoor taps, hoses and irrigation systems to ensure they are turned off and functioning properly.
Even a small leak can contribute to increased water demand across the system.
If you discover a leak or believe there may be an issue affecting the water system, please contact the Cariboo Regional District at 250-392-3351. There is an answering service available if you need to contact us after hours.
We appreciate everyone's continued cooperation with the Stage 3 Water Restrictions while staff work to identify the source of the increased water use. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
