Nilhts'i Ecoener Wind Project Update
The Board received a presentation on the proposed Nilhts'i Ecoener Wind Project near Hixon. Representatives provided an overview of the 144 MW wind energy project, its current status, and the partnership between the project proponents and the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation.
Support for Tatla Lake Recreation Improvements
Support was approved for a Northern Development Initiative Trust grant application submitted by the Tatla Lake Community Association. If approved, the funding will be used to upgrade the community gymkhana grounds and support local recreation opportunities.
2025 Statement of Financial Information
The Board approved the Cariboo Regional District's 2025 Statement of Financial Information (SOFI) for public inspection. The annual report provides information on the CRD's financial position, expenditures, remuneration, and supplier payments as part of ongoing transparency and accountability requirements.
Williams Lake First Nation Pow Wow Sponsorship
The Board approved sponsorship funding for the Williams Lake First Nation Annual Pow Wow. The event brings together community members and visitors to celebrate culture, tradition, and reconciliation while supporting cultural awareness throughout the region.
Performances in the Park Partnership Renewal
The Board approved the renewal of the Performances in the Park agreement and welcomed the Williams Lake First Nation as a core funding partner. The renewed three-year agreement will continue supporting the popular summer concert series and strengthen collaboration between local governments and community partners.
Esler Recreation Capital Projects
Several recreation improvement projects were approved for the Esler Sports Complex. Funding will support upgrades identified by local user groups, including improvements for slo-pitch, soccer, fastball, and disc golf facilities.
South Cariboo Regional Airport Improvements
The Board approved updates to fees and charges at the South Cariboo Regional Airport, including new advertising opportunities and facility rental rates. The changes are intended to support airport operations and create additional revenue opportunities.
