Boil Water Advisory- Horse Lake Water System Aug 14 2026

The Cariboo Regional District has issued a Boil Water Notice effective August 14, 2026, to the Horse Lake Water System users pursuant to a request of a Drinking Water Officer under Section 14 of the Drinking Water Protection Act. 

The notice has been issued as a precaution following water testing results.

All users of the Horse Lake Water System are asked to bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute before using water from the system for:

  • Drinking (or use an alternate, safe source of water)
  • Cooking (if not boiled)
  • Brushing teeth
  • Washing dishes
  • Washing fruits or vegetables to be eaten raw
  • Watering animals

Also, please use hand sanitizer after washing hands.

This advisory remains in effect until it is officially rescinded by the Cariboo Regional District.

The CRD will not issue daily notices while the advisory remains unchanged. If you have not received a rescind notice, the Boil Water Advisory is still in effect.

When the advisory is lifted, the CRD will notify affected residents through the same communication channels used to issue the advisory, including Voyent Alert, the CRD website, and Facebook.
