Boil Water Notice - Portions of 108 Mile Water Service Area - October 23 2026
The Cariboo Regional District will shut off water to portions of the 108 Water System to replace a hydrant and valve near the 108 Mile Golf Course on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Properties within the attached map area will be without water from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and it is recommended that affected users store enough water for the duration of the shut off.
A Boil Water Notice will be issued following the replacement, pursuant to a request of a Drinking Water Officer under Section 14 of the Drinking Water Protection Act. The notice will remain in effect until one water sample returns with acceptable results.
This notice is a precautionary measure following the hydrant and valve replacement.
Residents in the affected area shown on the attached map are asked to bring water to a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute before using water from the system for:
- Drinking (or use an alternate, safe source of water)
- Cooking (if not boiled)
- Brushing teeth
- Washing dishes
- Washing fruits or vegetables to be eaten raw
- Watering animals
Also, please use hand sanitizer after washing hands
This notice remains in effect until it is officially rescinded by the Cariboo Regional District.
The CRD will not issue daily notices while the advisory remains unchanged. If you have not received a rescind notice, the Boil Water Advisory is still in effect.
When the notice is lifted, the CRD will notify affected residents through the same communication channels used to issue the notice, including Voyent Alert, the CRD website, and Facebook.
If you have further questions, please call the Environmental Services department at 1-800-665-1636 during regular office hours.
