Official candidates confirmed for 2026 CRD General Local Election
Williams Lake, BC – The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) has confirmed the candidates for the 2026 General Local Election.
Voters in seven electoral areas will elect a Director on Saturday, October 17, 2026. In the remaining five electoral areas, the sole candidates will be elected by acclamation.
Official candidates
The following candidates are running for election:
Electoral Area B – Quesnel West/Bouchie Lake: Barb Bachmeier, Denice Bardua, Heloise Dixon-Warren and Robert Merz.
Electoral Area C – Bowron Lake/Barlow Creek/Barkerville: Clint Cave and John Massier.
Electoral Area E – South Lakeside/Dog Creek: Mary Forbes and Melynda Neufeld.
Electoral Area G – Lac La Hache/108 Mile House: Roz Griston, Al Richmond and Michele Spence.
Electoral Area H – Canim Lake/Forest Grove: John Kellett and Margo Wagner.
Electoral Area K – East Chilcotin: Betty Anderson and Bonnie-Jean Bathgate.
Electoral Area L – Lone Butte/Interlakes: Eric de Vries, Bo McKinney, Jake McLean and Dan Parker.
Candidates elected by acclamation
The following candidates are elected by acclamation. Voting will not be required in these electoral areas.
Electoral Area A – Red Bluff/South Quesnel: Nicole Audet.
Electoral Area D – Fox Mountain/McLeese Lake: Steve Forseth.
Electoral Area F – 150 Mile House/Horsefly: Maureen LeBourdais.
Electoral Area I – West Fraser/Nazko: Jim Glassford.
Electoral Area J – West Chilcotin: Tolin Pare.
