Two Elections, Two Saturdays: Know When You’re Voting
Two elections are taking place in B.C. this October, just one week apart — but only one is a CRD election.
The 2026 CRD Local Election will elect Electoral Area Directors to the Cariboo Regional District Board, while the 2026 B.C. Provincial Election will elect Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). They are separate elections, held on different dates and administered separately.
CRD Local Election
Eligible electors in Electoral Areas B, C, E, G, H, K and L will elect a Director to represent their Electoral Area on the Cariboo Regional District Board.
Advance Voting: October 7 and 13, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
General Voting Day: Saturday, October 17, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voting locations vary by Electoral Area. Find where and when to vote, mail ballot information and voter eligibility at cariboord.ca/elections.
B.C. Provincial Election
Final Voting Day: Saturday, October 24
The provincial election will elect Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to represent provincial electoral districts in the B.C. Legislature.
