The CRD's financial statements reflects its financial position, operations, and cash flow as of December 31 of any given year. Audited financial statements provide a consolidated and independently verified overview of the CRD's financial activities over the course of the previous fiscal year and its financial position at the end of that year. These are prepared in accordance with the CRD's legal requirements.
The Cariboo Regional District and Cariboo-Chilcotin Regional Hospital District are required to have their financial records audited every year by an external financial auditor. The auditor does not work within the administrative structure of either entity, and provides its reports directly to the Board of Directors.
